Bidrage med feedbackGreat food and a loud atmosphere. Don't expect fine dining but it IS good, filling food . Think "sports bar" abd you'll be close to the feel of the place, pkus, the locals eat there, so that's always a good indicator
Had dinner here pretty often each time I am in town. I have tried nearly everything on the menu except vegetarian and salads. They are good for all the meats and my personal favourite would be the ribs - which I have settled on as the only dish I will ever order when I am in town. Previous experience tells me that the steak and burgers are okay, lamb shanks too dry. We had the Mezziah Platter and it tasted like it came from the frozen section of a local supermarket - poor showing that one. Stick to the freshly cooked meaty stuff, ribs and burgers and you'll be fine.
We had dinner each night at the Juicy Rump, with a great selection of food on offer at good prices and pub prices at the bar.
It more or less a bar with meals. We had Fish and Chips and it was mainly batter but the beer and and wine was good
The Juicy Rump is a decent sports bar. The outside deck is nice, with both shade and sunny spots. There's a constant great playlist of older music (70s on) and TVs with sports. As with most Australian restaurants, you order at the bar and pick your own table. I had a huge and delicious hamburger with chips. I was tempted by the fish and chips and liked that you could chose baked fish rather than breaded. Based on one visit, the restaurant was good but not for foodies. There were daily specials including drink specials.
