Beacon Tap - Des Plaines

Place looks fresh and new. Great place for watching games on hi def flat screens. Better beer selection, custom cocktails. Had apps the presentation of the burnt end nachos almost as good as the nachos. The spinach artichoke was also good. Prices reasonable It is a must see for yourself. Great job boys

Went there for the Brunch on New Year's day. Loved the **** Mary bar and probably the best country fried steak I have ever had. The staff also made my hangover quite bearable. Keep it up guys.

The new Beacon is awesome. Clean, nice new tall tables, lots of new TVs. Didn't use the ladies room but I understand they now are heated and clean. The hamburgers are double and they are humongous. I had the smoked brisket dinner which was awesome. Wish it would have had more of that delicious sauce on it. It comes with 2 sides I had mac and cheese (didn't care for that too much) and cold slaw which was delicious. The menu is mostly burgers, chili, salads and apoetizers. Only 3 dinner entrees. Crowd was middle age and it was crowded. Will be going back.

Had a great time! People are thoughtful and kind, the place is clean, the fish fry fantastic, and we all enjoyed our meal and said we'd go back! Just need to keep an eye on the TP in the ladies' room. Would highly recommend and it was decorated great for Christmas!

It's great to have the Beacon in operation again. I do wish they had not taken the booths out, even though the old ones were butt-sprung. A booth makes it easier to carry on a conversation. St. Patrick's Day was crowded and loud, of course. Both staff and guests were in high spirits, and I enjoyed the Irish music, step dancers, and piper. I did not enjoy the buffet arrangement and shredded corned beef. I prefer table service with sliced beef (and horseradish). I find the chairs relatively comfortable and serving staff very attentive. I'll definitely be back.
