The Seafood Trap - Des Moines

The food is beyond amazing! The staff is so warm and Inviting. I honestly never ate seafood that much but after this place I’m obsessed. Im a big fan of the catfish and Crawfish. The cod is excellent as well.... Honestly plan on trying everything at one point lol

The food was absolutely amazing! We got the Trap Star and for 3 people it was plenty! The owner made a point to come out and talk to every guest as well as being the one cooking the delicious food! 10/10 recommend.

Great food, great service! Simple, no frills concept! You get your seafood in a bag and bucket for shells. A bib, roll of paper towels and wet wipes and you are ready to dig in! We went with medium spice which was plenty spicy by the time we got to the bottom of the bag! They are getting their liquor license ilater this week and will serve beer and wine. Parking in back of the building.

My 1st visit because I've been skeptical. I'm not easily impressed. Not only was I TOTALLY impressed with my food, but the customer service was A1. I wished I remembered to get the ladies name (She may of been the owner). She gave me a menu, walked me through my ordering options, offered me a drink while I waited, and she sat and talked to me the entire time while I waited for my food (which wasn't long at all). It wasn't forced conversation in hopes of retaining a customer. It was genuine conversation that you remember. So for both reasons, I will frequently visit an give rave reviews about this establishment.

This place is amazing! I love the vibe and the sea food is to die for!! New favorite place!
