New Tokyo Sushi - Dawson Creek

This is the best sushi restaurant in town, hands down. The food is delicious, high-quality, and served quickly. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great option for the whole family. I will definitely be coming back every time I am in town.

I have tried a lot of sushi in my time, and I have to say, the sushi from this restaurant is not very good. I wouldn't suggest ordering the tuna or salmon rolls, or the monkey brains, as the fish is not fresh and the quality is low. The monkey brains dish has an odd flavor from the avocado and fake crab. It takes some time to figure out the menu and find the good dishes. The service we received was hit or miss, maybe our waitress was having a bad day. The prices for the sushi are too high considering the quality. I recommend looking for the best and cheapest rolls on the menu. The spicy crazy roll and black dynamite roll are decent choices. Overall, if you want sushi in Dawson, you may want to try making sushi at home instead as it can be cheaper.

The service is really slow, we sat down before another table and she put their food order in first. The flow of things doesn’t work and they need more experienced servers. I don’t recommend dining in. We sat for 45 mins to an hour before seeing any food. It wasn’t busy either. Food is really good though that’s why we waited.

Surprising good sushi, considering it’s in Dawson Creek not much fresh salmon and tuna close by! The Maki Box is tasty and good value, but tempura was a little oily (just one piece). Tamago was very good, toro was not very fresh and over priced.All in all, great little sushi spot.
