Booked a table for 7:30pm in the restaurant and was asked to wait in the bar, waited for just over 30mins to be seated only to be seated in the bar area and not the restaurant, even thought there were empty tables for two in the restaurant area. Once seated the waitstaff asked if we would like water for the table, which we did and then waited 20mins for water. We ended up walking out, and went somewhere else for dinner.
Delicious food and wonderful range to choose from. Staff were amazing and could not do enough to make our night perfect. Fairly noisy in the restaurant.
The service was brilliant,however the evening was spoilt by the meal,I had ordered “medium”cooked fillet steak and it arrived “blue”(seared very lightly and very raw).My grandaughter ordered “medium rare”and hers was also “blue” The standard of the room was not acceptable either,there was wallpaper peeling away,mould around the air con vent and hair and dust on the bathroom floor,we had also booked and paid for three adults and was given a room with two double beds when I enquired I was politely told we could have a fold up bed but it wouldnt leave much room to move around, my grandaughter did not stay.
Food was shockingly basic and very poorly presented. The entree of the squid was fishy. Caesar salad was chunks of Cos thrown in a bowl with 1 boiled egg halved and a pile of bacon bits from coles deli with a blob of anchovy in the middle. Cauliflower main dish at $32 was a paste base that was flavourless and clag consistency, and a whole cauliflower divided into 3 and sprinkled with paprika. YUCK. Risotto was flavourless, no taste at all. Barramundi was a boiled overcooked and slopped onto a plate with boiled veges. This is the Hilton!!!! Well I’ve eaten better in a public hospital. Staff were clearly embarrassed and very attentive. Staff were also very friendly.
