Pasta Vita - Darien

Food generally good but I was the first customer there this morning Saturday . The shelves were pretty empty. I was told they weren't getting an order in until Tuesday. Some shelves were empty and some items only one container there. Save yourself a trip.

The chicken, pasta, and salad entrees are very good. However, any dish with chop meat leaves a lot to be desired. The bar-be-que ribs are tough, overdone and dry. The dipping sauce is not Kansas and is watered down.

Lamar, the manager, runs a great operation. Excellent quality prepared meals.

Got chicken parm for 4. Delicious and had leftovers. Makes dinnertime easy and much cheaper than a restaurant!

I’ve been going to Pasta Vida for a few years now. They recently opened one in Darien which is closer than Saybrook for me. I love the garlic bread among many other entrees.Yesterday I bought the turkey dinner for 4 and found that the potatoes in the baking container were grainy and watery I mean lots of water. Big disappointment, on the bright side turkey and stuffing was good but pricey.
