Musume - Dallas

Nothing about this place makes their signature rolls worth 200% more than the sushi bar down the street. They have to be compensating for their overhead, because the place is gorgeous but the sushi is just like any other sushi bar. Medium. If you have money to burn, then feel free to burn it somewhere else. You can get way more sushi for your money elsewhere, than you would here. Waitress got frustrated when I did not order the $200 platter. Really!!! Dude I’m the patron and I’ll order what I want to order. Quit pushing for a bigger check so you get a bigger tip…we aren’t stupid.

We were impressed with the food, but the service was outstanding. We started with Ton Gyoza, wild boar potstickers, and the tempura shishito peppers filled with cream cheese they were perfect on the palate, and the textures just right. We ordered several assorted sashimi, which were very fresh, prepared just right. The highlight was the Japanese Sea Bream, delectable. The restaurant is very chic, the owner very friendly, but our server, Harold was the best part of our meal. His service was prompt, but not pushy, he was very knowledgeable about the menu, made suggestions when we asked and explained patiently several questions I had about the preparation of three or four dishes in order to help us make our suggestions. He watched the table deftly, never arriving mid sentence, coursing our meal at a perfect pace, and appeared out of nowhere immediately when a guest finished a cocktail. I WILL return to Musume, and I 'll ask for Harold 's section again. Ask the maître d ' about anything happening behind the kitchen for a real surprise.

Sushi was excellent, so was the black cadjau, specials and some of the small plates were hit and missed. great sake and Japanese whisky list. good option for the Vortheater was the service very attentive and helpful.

Amazing service of selena, she was so informatiw and helped us through the menu. the psychic was one of the best meal times I had in one. they would recommend it again.

The food was good. the service was not. I would stay with uchi for high-end sushi in dallas.
