House Of Pies Bakery South Houston

I will start by saying that I love House of Pies near downtown. This newer location is horrible in comparison. The wait staff isn't as friendly and the food is not as good. The first time my wide and I came to the Cypress location, the waitress seemed irritable that we were even there. The second time we had a better waitress but they didn't bring us our food for over 30 minutes. Our waitress checked up on us and she told us that the kitchen though our food was already brought out to us. So, we had to wait even longer for the food to be made. Today, we came in for breakfast. I ordered chicken breast and 2 eggs. The plate came with so much oil that I could have cooked another meal with that amount of grease. I had to drain the plate before eating. I don't think I will be returning to this location again. I'm very disappointed in the overall experience. The location closer to downtown is still a good location but it's too far of a drive for me to make. So, they lost my business until they can fix some of the issues they have at this Cypress location.

I ordered my wedding cake at this location. It was the most delicious butter cream cake I ever ate!! I hate super sweet butter cream cakes but this was just divine and not overly sweet!! They even accommodate my request to remove the strawberries filling and add this beautiful decoration along the sides. My guests all went for seconds! Received many comments! Definitely will order my baby shower cake from here as well!

Went on Christmas day. Service was excellent, food is decent.

Very brighly lit. Not like the old Westheimer location. Food was fine. Pie was fine.

Subpar. Was a little disappointed since we have great memories at the other locations for good food and service
