Not bad, but not as good as other xlb places. when I left, they were out pork xlb, so we got chicken, but it was still okay. the black-shots were sweet. was not a big fan of the pork sticker because they tasted a little cold and not crispy on the floor. the bark but came hot and juicy inside. Chili oil clouds were good, but quite small amount. dan dan nudel was in order, also quite small amount, which is not bad as they can try more different options. also enjoyed the Q-Bao and scalion pancakes. though a little too oily. the gurkens were a little too sweet for me and my sisters.
No real surprises this time around. We sampled nearly everything on the menu at their Seattle restaurant (in the Seattle International District fka Chinatown last summer at the recommendation of my son's dear friend who had moved there after college. This Cupertino restaurant is tucked away behind Main Street. Admittedly, we do not dine in much these days but instead ordered take out in person while masked. The greeter/hostess/server is super nice and quite attentive. She even comps us an alternative dessert because they did not have the custard that my spouse really enjoyed the first time. The order is completed precisely at their prescribed time and is thankfully accurate given we didn't open any containers in this impeccably and snuggly packaged order until we get it home. Each box is labelled with individual tags, though. Whenever ordering take out, I am reminded of the prophetic (and profane) words spoken by Leo Getz (Joe Pesci) from Lethal Weapon 2.Back home, my spouse truly delights in the food she ordered (after a quick carousel ride bathed in uwaves), including the chicken/veggie , wonton soup, veggie pot stickers, pork wontons with chili sauce and (free) cheesecake. The wrappers are al dente but delicate and the fillings are tasty but with discernibly unique flavors. For my part, I slurp up the dan dan noodles that have bite both to the tooth [sic] and tongue. My lips were smacking from the strong characteristic flavor profile while simultaneously and paradoxically numb (from the ground Sichuan peppercorns.)I hope this helps.Pictures included.
Very fast service and the food was very delicious. The sparkling Yuzu was great along with their Milk Tea. The favorite was the ground beef dim sum and banana pancake. Parking was very convenient.
Delicious affordable! Their specialities are their dumplings. You have to try their potstickers and XLB. Possibly one of the best potstickers I’ve ever had. We also enjoyed the kale salad with sesame dressing, dan dan noodles, and beef noodle soup. The portions are good, so you can enjoy a variety of items on their menu. Friendly staff! We were seated quickly on Sunday for lunch, but expect a longer wait on weekend nights. Worth checking out. We’ll be back!
