Moorings - Cromwell

During our stay at Marsden Lake Resort, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the on-site restaurant. The staff were all very pleasant and the food was excellent. We especially loved the carnivore platter that we had for dinner, it was absolutely delicious.

This restaurant is fantastic. The atmosphere is laid-back and charming with a classy farm-to-table decor. It's an award-winning luxury restaurant with absolutely incredible food. If you're here for lunch, definitely try the chicken burger - it's worth it. The patio offers beautiful views of the hills and lake. Don't miss out on this gem if you're in the area.

We rode our bikes to this restaurant from Cromwell and were surprised to see that it was set quite far back from the water with no water views. We quenched our thirst with cider and enjoyed a lunch of fettucine and mussels, finished off with a flat white and tea. The meals were served promptly and were delicious, although the mussels were on the smaller side.

One of the finer restaurants in Cromwell. The food is fantastic and full of flavor. Atmosphere could use a little work — it isn’t quite as upscale as you’d expect for the menu (paper napkins; a noisy, casual bar in amongst the dining room; small and large size options for drinks, like you’d see at a chain restaurant). The décor is a bit of a hodgepodge, no real theme here. Service is friendly but again, doesn’t really reach the level of “upscale” to match the price point of meals on offer. Overall, a positive experience. Try the Carnivore Platter — it’s a staple. Limited but still decent wine list.
