Grão D'areia - Almada

My friends and I have waited 1h15 to be served. We had to ask to remember the Waiters of our order… And we also had to ask to a get a discount on the bill to compensate with the waiting, which they accepted thankfully!

Next to no service. We were shown where to sit and then weren't approached again by any of the staff. After waiting more than 20 minutes we had to get our own menus and then another 15 minute wait to have someone take our order.

I could have sat there all day and nobody would have noticed. Got fries and it was plastered, covered and drowned with salt that I did not ask for. Took ages for the bill to come. No music or good vibes, the staff seem to sit around inside or stand about and it was empty at 2pm. Wish I went to the restaurant down the road, not impressed.

Nice restaurant with an excellent terrace looking over the Atlantic. One can sit for hours on the terrace enjoying the amazing view whilst drinking a glass of wine and having lunch. We hadn’t planned to have lunch here but when the opportunity is there we didn’t doubt one second. For lunch we had polvo à lagareiro, € 13 pp and it was excellent. A glass of house wine costs € 3. The view from the terrace really makes this a great place to have lunch.
