Big O Donuts - Cookeville

I have seen this donut shop for years when visiting from out of town and thought open 24/7. Today I finally stopped for the first time and retrieved a dozen of array doughnuts and their appearance was lovely. The young man that helped me was exceptional and I thanked him more than once leaving feeling positive about my visit. After driving 2 hours and unpacking I had my first blueberry doughnut after dinner and wow it was fantastic. If you are in Cookeville and have an extra ten dollars you better stop by Big O's and get your sweet tooth on.

I love this place. I live in Illinois now and still think about these donuts.

Found this place around 1am, and it's FABULOUS!!! Great selection and fresh, even at that time, reasonable prices, and the kid working (redheaded cutie...wish I'd gotten his name) was awesome!!!

I’ve never been a huge donut fan. I always liked donut holes and eclairs and things like that hit found donuts to be too much bread and not enough excitement. Well, my life changed today when I walked into Big O Donuts. I intended on get a eclair or whatever other pastries they had, and I’m telling you, these donuts immediately caught my eye. Every single one of them looked so incredible. I asked the donut tender what her favorite donut was and she told me the strawberry cream (glazed not chocolate) so I said that’s the one I want. I got out side and devoured that thing liked I’ve never eaten before. Seriously I am not a donut believer. It was so good. The perfect amount of filling, the glaze was great and it wasn’t overly sweet. Perfection in a pastry. I can’t wait for an excuse to go back. Also the screen printed paper baggies are a nice touch.
