This place is from the beaten path, but I really enjoyed the chicken/shrimp pad Thai and the sojanudels here. The pad Thai was my favorite. I enjoyed the food quality here. Look at it.
We park our vehicle around 407 to drive downtown and notice this restaurant many times when we drive home. Honestly, it's never on our plan to try because I used to work in a Thai restaurant in college. Somehow, if we try to go to a nearby restaurant and closed it, then Arroy Thai is less than 5 minutes away so we decide to try it. The restaurant is small and clean. The food is delicious, which somehow surprises me and I want to return to the future for more Thai foods. Not sure if another place is better, but so far this is the best Thai restaurant in Vaughan city.
I came here and expected moderate Thai food, since my experience with Thai cuisine at GTA is disappointed as fellow human being Southeast Asia. But I was impressed by my culinary experience in Arroy Thai. The portions here were generous, including salads like the mango salad. The mango salad didn't cut any corners by serving underwhelming amount of crushed mango that fascised me. The green curry was packed with taste, spicy kick and a number of vegetables that easily feeds 2 people, although it needs an additional dish of rice. I was very impressed by the green curry, it's the best I had in the GTA so far. At the same time, the mango sticky rice was generously served with a perfectly balanced coconut cream on the sticky rice, which made it easy to replace between 2 people. Although we eat past the closing season at a busy Sunday night, the staff did not solve their hospitality or service on our table. We had dived in only 30 minutes from their closing time, but they were more than happy to serve us. The total bill for all dishes mentioned here including an additional dish rice was $33, a very reasonable price for Thai cuisine, if most Thai restaurants there are easy premium prices for moderate or sub par food. I will definitely return to Arroy Thai several times to try their other Thai classics.
Just ok. The food here, at least what we had, was pretty much passable. Since we didn?t choose a plate that was spicy, what we got was pretty much as bland as it gets. So, here comes the bottle of sriracha yea, the one you have at home. Again, nothing special here. Service, considering the restaurant was empty, was meh. Empty water, no hot sauce on the table, no staff no in sight so I had to go ask for it? you get the picture.
