Las Palmitas Mexican #2

This just had to pop up on my phone after waiting almost a half hour for our bill. What a terrible time to be forgotten about.

First off, it's actually Mexican food. This is important because nobody wants to go to a Mexican restaurant and be greeted with people that either don't speak Spanish or think all Latin American cuisine is the same.They have the most common things you would find in a Mexican restaurant that serves mostly white people.This isn't a racist statement, I'm white and I've been to Mexican restaurants in areas with a lot more Mexican dense population and the food is psychotically on point. The problem is, the average corn-fed American like myself looks at cow tongue as something you might use for stock or feed your dog.(They are missing out. Cow tongue tacos are basically the Holy Grail of tacos.)But they don't have is stuff like tripe, tongue, or albondigas.They have horchata and I can testify that it is delicious.At the bar they have a good variety of alcohols including the all important Patron and Tito's.They have several kinds of beer including Modelo and Corona.The staff are bilingual so if you don't speak Spanish you can still get really good food.There's plenty of parking and there isn't any issue getting a wheelchair inside the restaurant.They are also located conveniently close to a CVS so if you get heartburn you can either get you some Prevacid before you eat or some Rolaids or Tums for afterwards.

First time to try this place and we enjoyed our food. Fajitas enchiladas plate and two ground beef tacos with a side of beans and rice. Everything was fresh and delicious. Will come back again and try some different menu items.

The food was great! We were seated quickly on a Friday night and waited on within moments of sitting. The staff was friendly and efficient.

The taco meat has onions, green peppers and carrots in it. I've never heard of carrots in taco meat before.
