Bidrage med feedbackI stumbled across this restaurant in downtown Columbia recently. I noticed the crowded parking lot at lunchtime. This is authentic Mediterranean food. A family owned restaurant. EVERYTHING is made from scratch, even the pita bread. They use savoryfresh spices. Very reasonable affordable options and large serving sizes. Great vegan and vegetarian options. I had hummus anddelicious homemade, water based lentil soup. They were recently recognized in the Free Times "Best of Columbia list. Hours are11 a.m. 3 p.m. Mondays Fridays. Recommend you get there early. A robust lunch crowd. Great service. I ordered takeout, and thestaff person patiently answered my questions about the ingredients in the dishes, and how the dishes were prepared. A hidden gemin Columbia in the midst of many Mediterranean food chains.
Stumbled upon this place by accident and boy am I happy we did. Great food and even better service. I can't wait to go back.
Good looking spacious place in a good location, but parking is inadequate and it is very loud at peak times. Staff are very friendly. Sweet tea is average. Most of the food is pretty good, big portions but price a touch high. Had a lamb burger recently that was overcooked, and crinkle fries aren't impressive.
Pita's is always busy and noisy at lunch, But that's because they're so good. They also serve evening meals, and it's much quieter then. I Just received my order of a Kofta platter and side of falafel. The falafel are my favorite in Columbia. They are so wonderfully tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. I'm posting a photo. I have to say, kudos to the servers as well. They work as a team and always magically show up at the right moment with drink refills, taking orders, etc.
Their lunches are great! I have their Greek salad with chicken or chicken, rice and salad combo a few times a week minimum and it’s always consistently great!
