Japones Fu89o - Coimbra

Since discovering this restaurant, we have made it our monthly treat and it is lovely to be recognised as a regular. As it is an All you can eat, establishment we both expected a buffet but as we knew and loved the place under its previous incarnation couldn 't understand where a buffet could be placed and then we tried it and there was no buffet. You are served and served very well but you have to know the rules. There are no doggy bags, if you overorder and leave food there is a charge and they don 't take plastic but apart from that, it is excellent. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful so on our first visit we were not embarrassed by our ignorance. Today, we decided to start with sushi and when it came, it was on a board with a smoking Mount Fuji. Presentation is key here as you will see from the picture and video. Once we had demolished that, we ordered food from the kitchen. You see, you don 't have to order everything at once but we almost came croppers today because when we thought we had finished, they brought the Lulas Piri-Piri....then the beef with mushrooms but that was okay until the prawns were delivered. At that point we had to check that that was all we had ordered. When we had finished we checked that our table was booked for August .

The food was so creative and tasty. Awesome vegan sushi if you ask, lots of different things with vegetable and fruit, sooooo good. Will come again for sure.

Pontos positivos: grande variedade (recomende número 29a;) ordens via whatsapp; preço razoável (12.90€ para um rodízio em janeiro de 2022.) pontos negativos: os funcionários não eram muito acolhedores; organização do espaço; algumas entradas seguramente não são frescas.

Eu frequento grandes restaurantes japoneses em vários países. Fu 89 não deixa nada a desejar para o melhor! Frequentei muito desde a inauguração e nunca me decepcionei com nada. Os peixes são sempre frescos e bem cortados. Ao contrário de muitos outros restaurantes, em Fu 89 não fazem sushis com uma imensidade de arroz para enganar a fome do cliente. A decoração e a delicadeza do design dos pratos é um ponto a parte. Tudo é ótimo lá! Não é de admirar sempre que lá chegar. Long live Fu 89!!!
