Trailhead Grill Wood Fired Pizza - Cody

We tried Trailhead this past Saturday for the first time. While the food was out of this world good, the restaraunt itself was not. The table was sticky, the outside of our water pitcher had black crunchy spots stuck to it, and the walls had peeling paint. Live music and wait staff were ok. Food comparable in cost to Chico?s Resort in Montana, without all the courses Chico?s provides. Regardless, for an eating establishment in Cody, WY, I was impressed with the food.

Great restaurant, both in terms of food and service. My wife and I went there for dinner (call ahead, they're likely to be full if you're just walking by, at least at dinnertime), and we were very pleased. Everything was good, in particular the pizza and the crème brûlée (one of the best we've ever had). Our server was wonderful, went into enough detail when asked but didn't over explain. Other reviews mention it, but expect to spend at least $25, or more realistically at least $35 per person. These aren't cheap eats, but they are definitely good eats.

When we first came, it was dynamite! the burger was fantastic, the pizza was great. my partner and I have switched our meals halfway away. we loved it so much that we came all the way back to lunch from south carolina. we drove all the way from south yellowstone. how excited we were for burger and pizza. we only went in at 15 o'clock to say that they only serve a "happy hour menu" that had only small pizzas and appetizers. what a farewell. it should say somewhere on the website that this is an event. this menu was terrible. we didn't eat lunch because we wanted to come here. we have just set ourselves and ordered from the necessity because we had no time to look for another restaurant. the pizza is good, but not full at all, I ordered a tito and wodka, the bartender forgot to make it, and when it finally came out, it was not tito’s it was home wodka and I was left to practically chug it because, how long it took to reach me. I think that should never have happened, as there were plenty of the attendees, I also became titos. when the server brought our bill, she didn't bring us a pen to sign it. so we could not type or sign and we are on a huge time crunch... we will not recommend this restaurant to our many friends who we send out on this wise. have left a very bad taste in our mouth.

Amazing food, awesome staff, very clean updated establishment. Will be back!

Talked about how excited we were for the burger and pizza. we walked in at 3 pm only to be told they are only serving a happy hour menu that only had small pizzas and appetizers.. what a let down... it should say somewhere on the website that this is an occurance... this menu was awful... we didn 't eat a lunch because we wanted to come here... we only sat down and ordered out of necessity because we didn 't have time to look up another restaurant.. the pizza is good but not filling at all, I ordered a Tito 's and vodka, the bartender forgot to make it and when it finally came out it wasn 't Tito 's it was house vodka and I was left having to practically chug it because of how long it took to get to me... I feel that should have never happened as there were PLENTY of staff present, I was also charged for Tito 's... when the server brought our bill she didn 't bring a pen for us to sign it... so we couldn 't tip or sign and we 're on a HUGE time crunch... we will not recommend this restaurant to our many friends we send out this way. Left a very bad taste in our mouth.
