123 Restaurant - Cobourg

My recent experience with this restaurant was terrible. I was greeted by a very unpleasant and rude individual by phone. The food has not compared to what it was under the original owner. Vegetables were muddy, shrimp and chicken balls had either no meat... in them or a tiny cube of them basically roasted dough. Sweet sauce seemed very watery. All about this experience was unpleasant will not be ordered again from here. Sad, as it has been our goal for many, many years. Customer service needs a great overhaul!

2 combination plates ordered. Egg rolls were filled with dark muddy tasteless things. Honey ribs tasted cooked, but no sauce on them, very fat. Rice was again just a dark muddy lump. The food was great for the first time, but the second time terrible. Take your chances. Honey are added to garlic ribs the second time in boiling water with nothing. Yuk. She was accused of being ignored.

The portions are much smaller because I usually have leftovers for the next day but not this time. Lucky I didn't have company because there wouldn't have had enough. The order wasn't hot and had to reheat. I only live 5 min. away. Very disappointed.... Will try somewhere else.

Our friends just love this place, won 't order Chinese Food anywhere else, but then they like mall Chinese the bland, tasteless variety with overly gooey S&S sauce. Ordered when they visited us knowing they liked it. The Sweet and Sour Spareribs were glued together...enmasse, the rice not authentics not used to corn in the mix, the deep friend wings were just so so. However the Chow Mein was good. If you like Mall Chinese Food then order here.
