Beluga - Cluj-Napoca

We came here as a rather large group and we were asked to write down the order one day prior to our visit in order for the kitchen to be prepared. All good, however, the main course came even with 30 40min delay to different people at the table so when half the table would start eating, the other half were already finished. Very bad impression. I had a few bites left of my dish and when i stopped to make conversation, some waiter took my plate without asking even though I wasn't finished. I had ordered something at the bar along with a few other people and our order never came even though a waiter wrote it down. As for the food, it is average at best. The entree buffet was good with many types of cheese. The seafood from the risotto was BLAND but the rice itself was well done. I had tiramisu for dessert which was clearly not left in the fridge to set the ladyfingers were still too hard to be cut with a spoon. I had high expectations due to the placement and the prices of this place.. but I will certainly not return.

Location: The heart of Cluj-Napoca is close to everything. Parking: Depends on what time of the day you want to park there, but it’s crowded. Either you take the bus, or you walk for a few minutes. Service: They are rather friendly and they explain a lot of things about the food and anything you ask them. Mood: Was empty when we went there. What we liked is that it was quiet. And I do mean quiet. Few clients and this is sometimes nice after a long day of work. Music: Random stuff. Was ok. Food: It was good. Usually places with food this good are always full. For some reason, this wasn’t. We had pizza which was delicious and the muscles with sauce pitas for dipping. Prices: Typical Italian restaurant prices, but you get the bang for the buck. Toilets: They have spacious toilets. They seemed clean. Conclusion: Although it didn’t impress us in any way, it’s a place we would revisit and try some new dishes. Service overall was good, food was nice and prices were decent. Things to improve: Invest in marketing and bring more people.

Had a weekday lunch menu here, on their outdoor seat. Didn’t know their interior was so nice until I went to the toilet! Food was great and staff was very courteous, professional and nice. My Romanian friend told me apparently there was a famous musician group eating at the time I was there because the restaurant posted a pic on their Facebook of the group, and there I was enjoying my meal in the background!

Perfect place for a fancy date or dinner with youe friends. Located in the City Center near Museum Square you will have to leave the square. The food is great very tasty, I ate duck, they have very good lemonade, I recommend you the raspberry lemonade and the staff is very friendly. The food came pretty fast and I was happy at the end.

A unique dining experience. Fresh fish and seafood cooked to perfection, delicious home made desserts, excellent choice of drinks, cosy atmosphere, a very warm and attentive staff! Very good for private events and parties! Highly recommended..
