Bidrage med feedbackWe had dinner here last night. It was excellent. I had the flat iron steak. It was the most delicious steak I ever had. It was served on the top of the geese with grilled vegetables. It was so dang good, I make the 5 hours drive back to Cleveland only for this place! My wife had a red snap on a Medley of Veggies that I had no idea, went with fish! It was phenomenal. It's a casual but beautiful place. Great, friendly southern hospitality! We're coming back! And the moonpie bread pudding was incredible! Sorry... it was the only photo I thought to take... everything was so damn good!
Enjoy dinner here at Bar Fontaine during the stay at Cotton House. The excellent food for the limited menu. Beverages were well cast, although alcohol selection was limited in some areas, and the bar staff was friendly and welcoming.
The Delta Meat Market was a very pleasant surprise. It is located in the hotel where we lived (The Cotton House). We went to dinner and the service was A. The chef is a James Beard Award Nominee who says a lot. I cannot remember the name of my cocktail, but it was basically a Cosmo with Bubbly (either Prosecco or champagne). The first was good, but the second did not taste the same. The bartender left the Bubbly. Our server was fast to solve the problem so that was very appreciated. My party of 2 shared the Burrata as an appetizer... It was different, but good! I had the scallops and spinach salad as a entrée. The scallops were cooked for perfection (which is difficult to do), but the spinach salad did not hit the brand. I had better and better at home. The presentation of the salad was missing and the hot bacon vinaigrette appeared both as straight bacon fat and tasted. Also here I make a similar vinaiigrette at home, so this was disappointing. The other guest had the grilled pork stall, which was delicate and very tasteful. We shared the moonpie bread pudding for dessert. While it did not taste like lunar, it was a delicious and very rich dessert. While there are some things that could be better, I would definitely return.
We had lunch during the down week between a Christmas and New Year’s. We were a little disappointed that the tamales were not available, but the rest of the menu lived up to our hyped up, “Somebody Feed Phil” expectations. The wedge salad is a thing of beauty and is very well a meal in itself. The hot ham and cheese sandwich was perfect. The staff is friendly and the environment bright and clean. A wonderful place for a meal, and the grits, polenta, and cornmeal are available for purchase. Enjoy!
Excellent food, great wine, impeccable service. We started our evening with a cocktail at the Fontaine bar, followed by dinner at Delta Meat Market. The relaxed atmosphere and the fine food is a winning combination. It was wonderful and we would return absolutely.
