Lumptys is the spot of all spot for BBQ and the best cheese steaks slinging out of south jersey hands down... and the service always on point food stay hot and ready better then little Ceasars if u haven't had it get if u had thought about it think it food is too good good
We have been ordered by Lumpy for years and were very satisfied. However, the ribs and the chicken have not met our standards. We ordered a plate of ribs and 2 chicken breast and 6 wings. We took the order to friends for dinner, especially after we braided. How embarrassing; the ribs were definitely not fresh, the flesh of the ribs was grayish, hard, burned and no taste. The chest looked like chicken nuggets, hard, no taste and dry. Wings were old and hard, would not come out of bones, no juice and no taste. Apparently we were served from food from Tuesday because you were closed on Wednesday. Too bad, really bad food. We will find more than likely a competitor, because we like ribs, and at least half the chicken was delicious and juicy. Our friends were to say the least, not impressed, I tried to eat the food, we end up to over $60 value from Bughad tasting food away. We'll check other places. We gave honest feedback. Hopefully you will take this feedback and make adjustments in all honesty. Do not serve the old left over food, it is not a good representation of Lumpy's. Originally the flesh of the ribs was beautiful and fresh looking. You're welcome!
Ordered 1/2 plate pork ribs and frits. Not sure how it is prepared, but did not feel so fresh and woke up with some boring stomach pain. Maybe you had no luck? The portions were great.
A little place stuck in a strip mall. I had heard good things about this place, so when I was in the area, I decided to give it a try. The menu had the standard bbq favorites, ribs, brisket, baby backs, wings etc. They had burnt ends! Which many bbq places up here don't have. I ordered a brisket sandwich $7.00, came with crab fries) and a half pound of burnt ends $7.95) to go. They ask you if you want hot or mild sauce. My suggestion is whichever you choose, ask for it on the side. They kind of go heavy on the sauce. I chose the mild, which is a sweet sauce. I figured I could add heat when I got home. I was happy with the portion size. Brisket sandwich came with about six pieces of brisket. The brisket was tasty. I had to dab a lot of the sauce off the sandwich. It was drenched in it. Once I did that, you could taste the brisket. The only drawback was you didn't get a good smoked taste that I like in brisket. Maybe it was the overwhelming sauce. The brisket wasn't dry, though, so that was good. The burnt ends were great! Nice and tender. Had to dab some sauce away, but, yum, yum. I could definitely do a sandwich with those. Definitely would go back if I was in the area. Good bbq, not as good as bbq below Maryland, though. I'm still in search of that drive miles out of my way place. This is good if I'm in the area.
