Griffin Chophouse - Clarendon County

Food was alright but good. Steak could have been cooked better.

The only thing I have to say is at least the food is awesome…. I'm going to have to say the service is extremely slow; being seated, taking orders, delivery of food — ALL of it was slow. My wife and I have been there 3 times for the Tomahawk steak for two, and we like it a lot. So much so that we've even had 8 or our family and friends join us one of the times. And even though I know it takes like a half hour for it to cook, most recently we got ours after nearly an hour.

Steak was amazing, but the highlight was definitely the drinks. Brittany ? made one of the BEST old fashioneds I’ve ever had.

Visited for dinner on a Friday evening. The service was good; our server was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The server is the only reason this place deserves a rating higher than two stars. The food was mediocre, at best; the baked potato was cold, and the remainder was lukewarm. I probably should have sent the plate back, but at that point, I just wanted to get out. The taste and quality were mediocre as well. It is unlikely that we will go back.

I've been to other Chop House restaurants and this one left a lot to be desired. The place looks like a sports bar, the music was too loud, the presentation was terrible, and the food was not Chop House quality.
