They had the strawberry bear which I fell in love with, the best one I have ever had, my friend introduced me to this place, on the day we went because there was a game happening it did not have a lot of chairs and tables to sit down and drink and because I was wearing heels in the end it became uncomfortable and we had to keep changing our positions due to where the tills were and moving around which was a bit annoying but the drinks, I tried a few others with the elephant and loved every single one of them, I will come back for more.

I lived in amsterdam for a decade before I moved back to london. de hems is the place to go when I eat freche dutch bar. they all make classics. leverworst (wedges of hard pork pate served without brot,) vlammetjes (very spicy Indonesian style deep roasted spring rolls) and my favorite bitter bales (balls of calfs that are cooled, congealed then baked and deep roasted). bitter bales (similar to croquettes, but liquid when biting them) were a little smaller than those they get in the normal in the lowlands. this indicates that they are actually homemade by scratches instead of imported via the freezer section. the other bar snacks are absolutely authentic.
