Barb's Soups On Cafe - City of Elmira

First time having Barbs and man, it’s so good!! The potato and French onion soup was phenomenal. Also have great cheesecake. 10/10

Highly recommend. Don't find many places make homemade food like this.

This was a lovely little local spot that we found while on a road trip. It was just what the doctor ordered for a lunch on a cold day.Soup Sandwich combos for a decent price. I got the creamy potato soup with a Chicken Caesar Salad wrap. My boyfriend got the Ruben sandwich with a side of cole slaw. The ruben was hot in beautiful toasted rye bread, and good cold slaw according to my boyfriend that loves Cole slaw. The service was friendly and attentive, and we were in and out in way less than an hour.

Wow! I really wish there was a Barb's Soups On near me because I would visit constantly! I came in for lunch and had the most amazing server (I regret not asking her name! She mentioned she's been there for 15 years). She was wonderful—so friendly and a pleasure to converse with! She told us about the soup flight, which isn’t on the menu but definitely should be! It included three cups of different soups for nearly the price of a single bowl! I tried the New England clam chowder, navy bean with ham, and hot pepper cheese. Each one was exquisite. I even took home two quarts (navy bean with ham and hot pepper cheese)! It's incredible that you can order a cup of each soup along with the special soups for just about $15! I only wish I had thought of that earlier. I can't wait for my next visit so I can try more flavors and stock up on quarts for home!
