The Spunky Steer is a hidden jem sitting in a shopping mall between a paint shop and a dollar store. You 'll find no windows at this local steakhouse, but once you step inside, you won 't give it a second thought. Although it may seem small, there 's adequate seating. The menu isn 't overly complicated, and while they may have fish tacos and chicken burgers, the focus is on the 'steer '. Food was served hot, prices are fair, and the staff is friendly. If you want a simple and unpretentious steak, you can 't go wrong here. One thing to note, if you have a large party (8 or more), it does take longer to serve everyone. This is not a complaint, just an observation.

My wife and I both had country fried steak with salad and baked potato. Her food was a little on the cool side but they sent it back and made it right. The manager in charge checked back with us and he was super friendly as was our waitress. The place was packed but we were seated within 5 minutes and we were served promptly. Glad they're open once again after a long shutdown.
