The channel bass inn is the ultimate culinary experience. eating is excellent, the atmosphere intimate and the service personal and attentive. if they have not been in this hidden gemstone, they do not hesitate to make a reservation when they reopen in mid 2023. they will not be disappointed!

Fabulous meal beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. Definitely the best fine dining experience available on Chincoteague. Kudos to the chefs and impeccable serving staff!

Arriving at the Channel Bass Inn was a step back in time. The parking was a bit of a challenge as the address is on one street but parking on the next street over. Walking in a charming restored home we walked back to the intimate dining room. Seating for less than 20 guests, make sure you have a reservation. The prix fixe menu started with a delicious cream of crab soup, loaded with crabmeat. Every course outstanding, until...the steak feature that evening was very difficult to guarantee correct temperature. Our med/rare steaks came out very well done, we notified the chef and other steaks were prepared. Again this was better but still not quite the ordered temperature but still enjoyable. The chef came to our table and apologized for the mix up. Dessert was delectable. Service was quick and efficient. I will definitely be coming back but maybe not on steak night.
