I have eaten in the united states and Italian foods. this place is the real deal. full of old world charm and great service I had one of the best meals I ever had here.
How swallowed after capistrano (rails) ... I come back every year to this place when in chicago. from October 2018 will be tammy on t10 23 years. that should tell them everything they need to know about the place. as the person who has dinner and whom she orchestrated, she is phenomenal. read all reviews. not much what was not said well. the place is great. here is my perfect solo dinner in the main dining room two half plates of their hand made pasta. glasses by multepulciano. gelato. the bar is wonderful when they are a party of two and can get a coveted table there. but you won't get tammy, so trade one.
Nice service and very well processed eating; I would come back absolutely. the beet-terrine salad was excellent; perfectly boiled and the Fava beans garnish played very well both from taste and text perspectives. shrimp ravioli with the salmon-crush garnish was inspired; the pop of the sole very well puts the butter sauce. profiteroles with gelato and valhrona soße was fabulous for the two bites I managed. I very much appreciate that they offer two sizes for many of the entrees and desserts that minimize potential food waste.
If you go here you have to get the ravioli. Definitely some of the best in the whole city. I love the butternut squash ravioli. In the heart of Chicago theater district it’s a great place to eat before catching a show. The restaurant is located on the bottom floor and has a very nice ambience. This is a great Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Chicago.
