Bidrage med feedbackCash only! We forgot so we had to walk back to the car and luckily there was some cash in there. The pastries were good but nothing special. Tasted similar to many of the Chinese bakeries.
I dropped in here on a whime to grab some much-wanted dessert. I was surprised by the selection! I got a Portuguese-style egg tart (pasteis de nata...I remembered devoring them 6 at a time in Portugal! , a cream cone, and a coconut cream bun. Cash onlyestablishment (but I spotted an ATM inside . Everything was fresh when I got back to hotel. Nothing stale. Good flavor, thoughI expected the egg tart to be a big sweeter. Very good! A+
Chinatown Chicago, big bakery has to try. Be careful, they only take cash or Venmo.
Came here on a cold rainy winter evening for her Char siu bao. I'd like to try it fresh and warm, but unfortunately the hotel where we lived didn't even have a microwave. It's just cash, but they have a cash machine inside with a small fee. Char siu bao/BBQ pork **** $1.85): This review is probably stronger than usual, but it is as delicious as all reviews say. I don't know what it's about her Char siu bao, but when I took a bite, I was hit with a crazy wave of Nostalgie for the taste, and it wasn't even warm! It made my grandmother miss me like crazy. I didn't even know I had nostalgic feelings associated with char siu bao, but obviously I did. Edible: Perfectly fine eite, even at room temperature. Soft and cuddly. Mini red bean moon cake: Soft, good. I would get this back to meet mini-mooncake cravings, although I wish there was less filling and a thicker skin.
FYI Cash Only! Went at night and the bakery stays open until 10pm. I ordered a BBQ pork bun under $2 and it was delicious! There is a large selection of sweet and savory treats, and I would definitely come back again to try more.
