Carbon Arc Board - Chicago

We were impressed by bartender Ian's exceptional cocktail-making skills. The vibrant atmosphere of this place is truly enjoyable. We highly recommend it for drinks!

We visited the restaurant on a Thursday evening before going to see a movie. We sat at the bar and ordered two servings of fish tacos and a beer for my husband. Because I am pregnant, I requested a non-alcoholic mojito. The bartender, Ian, was very kind and accommodating. The drink was delicious. The fish tacos were excellent, and we also ordered churros for dessert which were amazing - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with an ancho Chile dipping sauce. The food was fantastic, but what really stood out was the service. Ian was welcoming and attentive, even inquiring about our movie time to ensure our food would arrive promptly. When the bill came, Ian did not charge me for the mocktail and applied a Thursday special discount that we were not aware of, resulting in a total bill of only $35 for two meals, drinks, and dessert. I left a $20 tip for Ian as he truly deserved it. He even provided us with to-go cups for our water for the movie. The service was exceptional, and Ian was a genuinely good person. We are looking forward to returning every Thursday to enjoy a meal, watch a movie, and be served by Ian again. We will definitely be back.

The best part about visiting the Davis Theater is being able to enjoy a meal at Carbon Arc afterwards. I still find myself dreaming about their delicious fries, which I'm certain are double fried. They are soft and chewy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside, with just the right thickness. In addition to the fries, I also tried the smash burger with bacon, brussels sprouts, cheese curds, fish tacos, and churros, all of which were excellently prepared and made for a perfect evening. I highly recommend stopping by for drinks, and don't forget to try the fries and cheese curds before catching a movie. The drinks, such as the new dirty martini, are also quite good. The mixed drinks are stellar and the bar channels is one of the most beautiful of Chicago. Food: 5/5

This place is the real jewel of the neighborhood of Lincoln Square. A wide range of dishes and cocktails, all inexpensive, brought by a friendly, competent staff. Top Notch. Food: 5/5
