Bidrage med feedbackJust bought ice cream, but there are so many things on the menu that my husband and I can't wait to try. Good location, friendly service. Great first experience at this new establishment. Update: went back and tried the elote and mangoneada and both are great!
I found this hole-in-the-wall through Nextdoor where someone mentioned they had Mitchell's Ice Cream. I looked the ice cream up and found them to have a 4.5 and 4.7 on Yelp and Google respectively. Obviously, I had to try it. *Parking- not too hard to find street parking on a week night. We went around 8p. Easy to find the store on the corner of 7th and Middlefield *Interior- Clean and lots of seating *Staff- the man that served us was nice and let us try a few flavors. He said the business just opened last week. *Ice cream- Yummy and very creamy! There were 8 flavors and we chose to get Macapuno, Lucuma (Peruvian fruit but it tasted like butterscotch to me), and Strawberries and Cream. Favorite was the Macapuno. The Ube was also delish. They also had Vanilla, Strawberry, Horchata, and I think chocolate? *Value- Not terrible. We got 3 big scoops in a cup. Total came to be $7.01. Portion size was a good amount (if not a bit much) for 2 people sharing. We ate it all! *Overall- Would def visit again to try some of their Mexican snacks and drinks...plus, more ice cream flavors *Other- I wonder where Snack #1 is??
Great mom and pop restaurant with an assortment of Mexican dishes. Their ice cream is delicious and so are their juices. A hidden gem with amazing customer service. If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and great desert then it's a must try.
People are nice nice it looks like a they organized and clean.
Family owned (husband and wife) establishment. Super friendly owners, clean, very spacious with great options if you would like to get your Mexican antojito fix or simply get your Mitchell's ice cream. I'm a super fan of Mitchell's and travel from Redwood City to SF for ice cream. I'm happy to say that Guapos has new customers in my kids and I. I have to emphasize that I've been to the other 2 businesses down the street that offer similar options but I have to say that Snacks is by far cleaner and more organized. Food safety is key in any establishment that offers food items and their cleanliness speaks for that. If you know Mitchell's you'll sure be glad there's a business in Redwood City/Menlo Park area that carries their products. Nos vemos muy pronto Guapos!
