Bidrage med feedbackI am a regular visitor to Viva and always stop in for a drink and a bite when I am in town. I was happy to see it open again recently. I like to come during my baby's nap time so I can relax with a nice seat, some rest, and a delicious coffee while she sleeps. However, during my last visit, I sat on the back sofas and soon after, a couple with two dogs sat at the table next to me. The dogs would bark constantly whenever someone came near, whether they were personal or other customers. The constant barking startled my baby and woke her up from her nap. I was surprised that dogs were allowed inside, especially since there is a perfectly protected outdoor area at the front of the restaurant where dogs and their owners could have sat. Despite the disturbance caused by the dogs, the owners seemed oblivious and did not attempt to quiet them. This experience was not relaxing for me and my baby, so I am hesitant to visit again in the future.
This is my favourite place to go in Northwich! Lovely friendly staff always make me feel so welcome and give me lots of fuss! My human loves it too and always gets a nice coffee and jacket potato. Ollie the dog (and Ann
We visited for lunch recently and although it was rather quiet, the staff still hadn’t managed to clear the tables. The sandwich range was underwhelming to say the least and I opted for a chicken and mozzarella panini, whilst my partner had a ham and...cheese toastie. She ate her toastie, however, mine was full of mayo- no cheese in sight! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to finish it. I would expect much better from a cafe like this as I could get a better toastie for the same price just down the road. Whilst ordering, the lady asked if we wanted chips with our toasties and we asked how much they were. For about £1.50 you would expect more than oven chips! We were very disappointed with this as we could have got a whole bag for the price we paid for a small bowl. We also ordered milkshakes- I, a ferrero Roche, which was the highlight of my meal! My girlfriend, on the other hand, had a coffee milkshake which was basically a very milky cold coffee. Viva had a good range of cakes and biscuits, but unfortunately they were not as good as they looked. We had a chocolate cake and a vanilla slice. The cake was tasteless and stodgy whilst the vanilla slice was thick and hardly sweet. The service was not great and it took a while to take our order at the till and nobody asked how our meal was/if we wanted sauces or anything. The toilets also had cobwebs in the corners and clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Having said this, our past experiences have been good. The milkshakes are really good (just not the coffee ones and, usually, the atmosphere is welcoming. It was just disappointing that this time viva did not live up to our expectations.
Came here for lunch and tables were covered in pot and plates and staff were stood around talking in the back (even the owner) when there were customers to serve and tables to be cleared to which we had to sit on a dirty table....We got served by a girl that barely said a word we asked for 2 drinks to which were told “you get them yourself in the fridge” we didn’t get offered any glasses I asked for a panini with NO mayo but I got a load of mayo on it and a bowl of salad they couldn’t provide me with any salad dressing. It wouldn’t be a place I recommend.
I am a coffee fanatic girl and this is a good place for this. Clean, Professional Staff and no hustle bustle. Cheers :
