The Old Red Lion - Cheshire East

I had a fantastic Sunday lunch at this pub. The atmosphere is simple and straightforward, but the food and service were excellent. The staff, especially the manager Emma, was superb in terms of customer service and very friendly. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

The Red Lion is conveniently located near my home and I feel fortunate to have such an incredible pub nearby. I have to be mindful of my budget, but when I want to treat myself, Red Lion is always my first choice. Today, I had a wonderful experience with my friend and her dog. She traveled quite a distance to visit, but it was definitely worth it. We were well taken care of by two exceptional staff members. The food was top-notch! A big thank you to the talented chef.

The food and service at this restaurant were amazing! We came here for a special family meal and were thoroughly impressed by the food and service. Emma made us feel very welcome, and we want to extend a big thank you to Ste for the fabulous food.

Fancied a treat out on Christmas Eve Eve so went to the Cobbles in HC and it was shut for Christmas!! So went walked through to the red lion for breakfast. What a great choice!! I ordered the smashed avocado and a side order of 2 hash browns. Beautiful. Loads of chilli’s and spring onion. Nicely garnished with fresh coriander. Very tasty. And very cheap at £5.79 and 99p for 2 hash browns. Please compare to the absolute rip off that is the Village Kitchen. He ordered the bacon butty which was pretty good. Recommended!!

Fantastic food and service...the restaurant was very busy...a healthy mix of popularity and it also being the day of a Christmas fayre. The staff all went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience in lieu of a cancelled Christmas day lunch. Thank you so much to all in the team, particularly Emma the manager who showed great diligence and care and Charlotte who was unstinting in her attention to our requirements and who worked tirelessly to ensure we received the best of everything.
