Godfather's Pizza - Chatham

The pizza is pretty good at this place and the employees seemed friendly. There were two minor issues. The first is that the pizza here is a bit pricy compared to other places unless you buy one of the deals. The other issue was that they seemed to bereally busy but only had two employees working so it took an hour to get the pizzas. It's probably not always like this but onthis Friday evening, it was.

At 4 p.m. I placed an order on Godfathers website requesting it to be delivered at 5:30. at 5:45, still no pizza so I called and asked about my order. I was told that they were still waiting for Door Dash to pick it up. I clarified that I didn't orderthrough Door Dash. the guy said because they are short staffed they are using Door Dash for deliveries. I told him that shouldbe listed on the website when ordering because had I known that I would have just done carry out. At that point I was hung upon. Called back and asked for a manager. was told the manager is off and she is only training to be a manager so she doesn'tknow how to issue any credits. I drove and picked up my pizzas and was greeted by more rude rumblings from the back room aboutbeing short staffed. I get you are short staffed. I get if you want yo use Door Dash, but let your customers know. this allcould have been avoided. And hanging up on me only added fuel to the fire. So now I've paid a delivery fee and tip for pizzathat I still picked up myself 30 minutes later than requested. absolutely ridiculous. will never order from here again.

I ordered a pizza and some cheese bread and an hour later I was told my pizza was out for delivery. Then 35 minutes after that my pizza and cheese bread showed up. Pizza wasn?t really hot and I will never order from this place again!

So...we stopped by here twice in 2 weeks traveling to Texas on vacation. Was looking for a quick simple meal...pizza hit the spot. Never been to a Godfathers Puzza before The guy running the place...sorry don't remember his name...was so kind...Weordered...the pizza...had the most toppings I have probably ever had on a pizza....loaded... crust was great Drinks weregood...out of the fountain. The guy then brought us out a complimentary cookie...was like 9 inches in diameter...the second timewe visited he brought us out a pan of fresh baked sweet monkey bread Was nice to visit...will stop again on our travels. Westay at a local campground in the area. Thanks for a great vacation experience.
