Good... just good! Great sandwiches, yes. Fast service, yes. And the pickles are great!!! They only wish to have an outdoor seating.

Wow! The food was wonderful. The service was friendly, caring and professional. The beef was so tender and tasty. The salads (chicken, egg and tuna) were excellent. French frits and kettle chips would make them addictive! My first time, I often go back.

Opening day! The first Jewish deli in downtown Charlottesville. Order at the front counter, sit wherever you want. Sits around 50 people when each seat is taken. Sandwiches are very large. I tried the Rachel (Turkey on marble rye, Russian dressing and Swiss cheese). ****! Would you just want a little more dressing on him (safe, I could have asked). Served with chips and a few cucumber discs. The menu is extensive, and I'm sure I'm back to try more. In the first hour they were almost sold out of Matzo Ball Soup. I can't wait. The prices are somewhat high, but the owner (very friendly) donates the profits to local welfare. More information on their website. Modern Nosh knocks it out of the park with stacked sandwiches of large proportion homemade treat. Corned beef made in the house! Fresh potato chips! Friendly efficient counter service. It is quality how to be a real deli (go to a chain if your time wallet is on a budget). Reuben Combo ditto to the other reviews. In addition, ALL end-of-year wins are donated to cause non-profit organizations. Good to know you're here, I'm back.

I've tried all the meats and everything was super tasty. The combo Reuben on rye is my favorite. The service is really friendly every time I've visited but it is a bit pricey so not somewhere I'd be a regular.
