Smelly Cat - Charlotte

I've never been in a restaurant that locked his door to customers. no menus inside; had to go outside and look at a board, and then someone unlocked the door to let me in again. the reservation was for 12 and we arrived 15-20 minutes early. they were friendly enough to put us, then continued to ignore us with 0 contact for at least 10 minutes. when the server took our order, she said that she would make sure that she would pick it up before the kitchen closed by midday. an breakfast place served on the afternoon? If we hadn't arrived early, we wouldn't have had a meal. the food itself was well prepared.

The first time in charlotte and I needed a coffee, came over a stinking cat, but we missed it at 5min. the coworker noticed that we were trying to get in and came and invited us to ask the owner of other caffes that could be open. the owner was so nice to inform us about other places and tell us that we could make a reservation for the next morning and sit inside! we did this and it was so beautiful and cute inside and the coffee was great! we also have breakfast cookies that were delicious! owners and employees were so nice and accommodating.

Met an out of town friend here for coffee, breakfast, and conversation and enjoyed it greatly.

I travel extensively and am into coffee. Smelly Cat makes the best cappuccino I’ve ever had anywhere.

The place is quaint! Loved the decor and the staff was very friendly and personable! I had the mocha, white mocha cafe with the zucchini bread and it was Delish!!! And my daughter had the hot chocolate and the sausage egg burrito and she also enjoyed her meal!!! We will definitely come back and try the quiche!!!
