Spicy Nine, Chapel Hill

We had a starving little boy after having to fast all day for a late afternoon MRI. I googled the closest sushi place to the hospital and we ended up here (he loves sushi). We’re so glad we did. The calamari and basil rolls were great and the 4 sushi rolls we ordered were huge, affordable, wish fresh ingredients and delicious. We ended with fried green tea ice cream and had a very happy little boy because all of the food came so fast.

We were in town for one night and decided to look for A place with hot tea at 10:00pm. Google brought us here. We sat at the bar and had the best conversation with the bartender. We decided to go back before we left today. The sushi was fresh and delicious, as were the spring rolls and mixed vegetables. The service was great both visits. The bartender was good enough to get us to come back a second time in less than 24 hours! The next time we are in town, we will definitely stop in for the friendly service and delicious food!

I am kind of picky about sushi, but everything we tried was great. My family recommends the Spicy 9 and the Flamingo rolls. The Dynamite and Franklin Street were a hit too. The Thai iced tea was among the best that I have had. Very reasonable prices.

Robin is definitely one of the best waiters I have ever had at a restaurant. The food here is amazing but I’m not sure I would say it’s better than Robin.

Great food. Great service. And I'm super picky about where I eat sushi. Will be back again !
