いせき Jiā - 常陸大宮市 日本

I visited this restaurant in early May of 2017. It has a typical "diner" atmosphere. Both the exterior (parking lot) and interior are clean and well-maintained, which is very pleasant. Although it seems to attract tourists due to its location, it also seems to be loved by locals. The recommended dish is the "Tanmen" but this time I wanted to try the rice dish, so I ordered the classic ginger pork set meal. Amidst the many restaurants with sweet and salty flavors, this one stood out with its strong punch of ginger, giving it a mature taste that I really enjoyed. My friend ordered the pork sauté with demiglace sauce set meal, and I tried a piece of it as well. Both the ginger pork sauce and the demiglace sauce showed the owner's dedication to quality. After the meal, I suddenly felt like having coffee, so I ordered it as an extra. I was pleasantly surprised when a well-brewed coffee was served, instead of a sour-tasting one that seemed like it was made by boiling. I am glad to have discovered such a great restaurant and look forward to coming back again in the future.

The menu is extensive and all the dishes are delicious. There is also a service menu with a fifty yen discount on weekdays. The restaurant is closed every Tuesday.
