Gom Tang E - Centreville

Like many people commented here, the service worth a 0 star. Food was just okay, not bad but also not as good as other Korean restaurants in the area. The only waitress was way too rude pointed us to a seat without saying a word, served wrong dish but insisted that it was correct (we are not Korean, but we are Korean food lover, so plz don't think that you can fool us), and squeezed through with a hate face when we prepare to leave and stand on her way. The first time I came here, I didn't really like the food I ordered. But one late evening, I wanted to go out and dine in somewhere that's still open so, I decided to come back here and I am super happy I did because I've had the best galbitang here in all of NoVa! I noticed that they are a bit inconsistent with the portions/ingredients but overall, I would still highly recommend this place. It's worth trying!

Depending on what time you come in, service may vary. Most importantly, if you are not Korean your service heavily depends on that and they do not try to hide it at all. I went in at 2AM couple of nights ago service was prompt, polite, and delicious food! Came in today at 11AM and waited an entire hour for our food. 3 other parties came in after my group of 2, and we were already waiting a while which I didn't mind since it would be a bumpin time after church. Normally i love their sullungtang. But today the soup taste old and overcooked from leftovers. Soup was really thick and had bad meat smell. Call to complain and the employee just wouldnt say sorry and that is due to ingredients added. Don?t think i will be coming back to this store.

Very Disappointing: the person who cooks needs to understand Korean flavor. It was terrible. I believe there are some good dishes but not what I ordered. I think the name was gabi kookbob. Also, see the picture of the pot they used. They need to throw it out
