Grand Buddha Bistro - Castlegar

We were somewhat concerned when there were no other diners when we arrived at 7:00 p.m. on a Sunday evening. However our meal was excellent. My wife had a tasty chicken curry while I had the Grand Buddha salad. All ingredients were fresh and the sauces/dressings were delicious. Don’t be put off by the somewhat spartan decor. It is not a reflection on the quality of the food!

Everything about this restaurant was just amazing !!! From the ambiance to the delicious food prepared. Their line cook recommended the “Bao Bun” customized to what I was craving) and my was it delicious ! It was definitely worth every dollar and I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Used to be my favorite restaurant but since the ownership/management change, it's terrible. We ordered take out and when I called to give feedback the new owner gave the phone to a kid in the kitchen. So unprofessional, Pad Thai not the same, wings tasted like dirty old fryer fat, was generally disgusting.

Atmosphere was bland, menu was worse. Beef was overcooked to the point of resembling jerky. None of us finished our meals, and later ended up throwing out the leftovers. Wait staff seemed preoccupied with something other than their customers. Decided not to risk dessert. There are good places to eat in Castlegar, this isn't one of them.

Delicious food! The spring rolls were probably the best I've ever had. Wings had an interesting tempura type batter. Hubby enjoyed his burger and fries and I absolutely loved the red curry rice bowl recommended by our very friendly server. Will absolutely return. Recommended!
