Balti Indian Cafe Restaurant - Carlton

My experience at Balti Cafe last night was absolutely delightful. After navigating through the chaos of vendors on Lygon Street trying to lure us into their restaurants, we found solace in this charming Indian cafe. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Despite having to leave just before our food arrived (due to our show starting soon), we offered to pay and return later. Instead, they packed us a small package of food to take with us at no charge, and only requested payment upon our return. This level of service was truly remarkable, as many other restaurants would have demanded payment upfront. When we came back an hour later, we were treated to a delicious meal with perfectly prepared dishes bursting with flavor. The value for money was outstanding, and I was impressed by their exceptional service and warmth. It was a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of Lygon Street, and we will certainly be returning thanks to their exceptional hospitality.

This restaurant is a food lover's worst nightmare. The service was poor, with my main dishes taking over an hour to be served, and the food tasted terrible.

My wife I found this delightful curry house during our recent stay in Melbourne. The fare may not delight connoisseurs of Indian food but the friendliness of Danna his staff more than make up for this. They were hugely polite, attentive helpful because they knew we were in Australia for England's ill-fated 2013/2014 Ashes tour took great delight in showing Bollywood cricket themed DVD's on the plasma screen at the back of the restaurant. It'll be some years before we're back in Melbourne but when we are there's only 1 venue we'll be heading back to

While strolling down Lygon Street in Melbourne's Little Italy, we suddenly had a craving for Indian food. We stumbled upon Balti and couldn't resist the vendor's street promotion. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious fish tikka, which was moist and flavorful, and the excellent curried vegetable side dish. A visit to Balti is definitely recommended!

Dined after Bruce Springsteen concert Service and Staff absolutely fantastic. Food was 100% Delicous Will definitely be back again
