Bidrage med feedbackModern, seasonal intwresting menu. Very friendly welcome from the owner/hostess. Wait staff well-informed. BYO, but also a good varied cellar.
Food was excellent and service personal. Owner is chef and wife is front of "house" Friendly and personalised service. Will definitely go back
This is such a wonderful restaurant with food that is to die for......try the tortellini (him) and duck (me) you will have it every time! Jodi, front of house, is an amazing lady who remembers not only your name but your likes and dislikes. Terri, the chef extraordinaire, is happy to accommodate but is very approachable. Although BYO wine their wine list is great and Jodi often shares a glass of something new 'to try'. I'm hesitant to recommend it though because being our 'go to' restaurant I don't want it to get too popular....but in those immortal words - 'do yourself a favour'
I hadn't been here for years and knew it had changed hands some time ago. It did not disappoint and we should all really try and support these local eateries of this quality.Good tight menu and the real winner I can bring my own bottle of wine [with corkage but I don't care]Good service.Give them a go.
It was not a large restaurant with about 25 or so tables. The meal was Nice and enjoyable; however in our opinion the restaurant was missing a "WOW!" factor. Now for a few specifics We arrived at about 7:50 pm (after all other dinners had arrived) with the restaurant being about half full, impressive I thought for a Wednesday night in the suburbs. We thought the service, one waitress was good. She was very friendly and attentive and seemed quite knowledgeable on the menu, which is all you can ask from them.We wanted to have seafood this night. So we ordered :** StartersHalf Dozen Oysters KilpatrickCumin and Coriander spiced Zucchini n' Pumpkin fritters** MainsBBQ prawn tails with spinach, sundried tomatoes, julienne Turkish apricots, capsicum and pinenuts with a red wine and balsamic dressing (in the main size)** DessertA flourless chocolate torte…made w/ dark chocolate, dutch cocoa…capped w/ milk chocolate ganache topped w/-toasted flaked almonds, chocolate shavings…raspberry coulisThe Starters were good and very nicely presented and a good start to the meal they were a bit slow in arriving were we had to wait and we were starting to wonder when they were coming out but the wait was not outrages. We then moved on to the mains. We both had the same mains as there was not too much choice when it came to seafood other than “Wild Barramundi fillet”. The Prawns were cooked well but they were lacking flavour and could have done with some more seasoning and maybe with a hit of chilli. We shared the dessert which was very rich (expected) but the raspberry Coulis which we expected to deliver a tartness to balance the rich, sweet cake was a bit too sweet to achieve this. The coffee which we ordered with dessert was spot on.All in all it was a pleasant meal without being exceptional.
