Bidrage med feedbackIncredible place for charcuterie and sandwiches. I've been a regular for 3 years and hands down they make the best charcuterie I've ever had. Chef John has taken this place to a new level. I ordered a turkey from them for Thanksgiving and my family loved it.
We are visiting from the states and had the pleasure to meet John on a walker tour. His creative charcuterie samples were so good, we decided to order a picnic lunch for our coastal trip. Delicious and a terrific value for many gourmet treats!
Went in for a quick mix for my wife and I. We showed up 10min before they closed and they were So helpful and nice to accommodate our requests for small Portions of a handful of items. The smoked duck breast was the surprise for me. It was so good!!! Can't wait to go back.
Love this shop with amazing variety of cure meats. We had a sample platter with our food tour group and it looked mouthwatering good. We tasted about 6 different kinds of meat. The meat jam (pork in duck fat) was unique and delicious.
Winter weather brings on cravings for hearty braises and rich stews. While there is nothing we love more than pottering around the kitchen on weekends, harried weekdays don’t provide the time for slow braising dishes. Thankfully, the folks at Choux Choux Charcuterie can do the work for us. We recently hit up Choux Choux to stock up on their legendary sausages (we love the Toulouse, a juicy pork sausage with a hint of nutmeg and the earthy Moroccan lamb . Not content to stop there, we poked our heads in the deli freezer. Nestled amongst duck, fois gras, and other gourmet goodies were a couple of neatly packaged containers of house-made boeuf bourguignon, the a classic French dish consisting of chunks of beef with pearl onions and mushrooms, simmered in a rich red wine sauce. We couldn’t resist purchasing one to take home. We devoured our beef with steamed baby potatoes (to sop up all the delicious winey, mushroomy juices with a side salad of spinach, flaked almonds and oranges. It was sublime. While we cannot take credit for this feast ourselves (hey, at least we made the salad! we’d like to think Julia Child would be proud.
