I love the bean, cheese, steak, spinach, and pork pupusas! It’s a authentic El Salvadoran food that’s simply delicious. Imagine fried corn bread stuffed with your selection of meat, cheese, or veggies! With a side of vinegar coleslaw that adds to the flavor. The Central American tamales are perfect! You can get them stuffed with chicken or just a plain corn tamale for vegetarians. The tamales have pulled chicken with no bones and chunks of potatoes inside. For vegetarians you can get a tamale stuffed with corn and potatoes! They also have traditional Mexican tacos and super tacos with everything! The prices are excellent and the food is filling. There’s nothing like having leftovers to reheat and still taste delicious! Expand your horizons and try something different! Get a side of delicious plantains and try a traditional milk Mexican drink Horchata!
Upon entering, we were greeted with a smile and sat promptly. We ordered a Chicken Salvadoran Tostado that was topped with lettuce, tomato, refried beans and avocado. The Carne Asada Pupusas were stuffed with tender steak, oooeey, gooey cheese and the corn tortillas were grilled to a golden, crisp perfection. Olocuilta Restaurant is a go to place for delicious pupusas, burritos, street tacos and more.
The. Best. Burrito. Ever. Also, my first time having pupusas, so good!
Alright... my wife insisted on trying this place since we have yet to find a place that makes great pupusas. I honestly had kind of given up... Well, we found the place, FINALLY! They sell Salvadorian and Mexican dishes but I was set to try their pupusas. Best ones since moving to SWFL 3 years ago. Sorry no pics of the food this time but I tried the Pupusa Loca which has everything they offer. It was good though I was expecting it to be larger, however, it was alittle larger than the regular pupusas. Wife and kids tried a variety of different ones and they were really good as well. They are now open on Sundays 11am-6pm. Give them a try....Oh by the way, the server speaks English too, for those who go to a Latin restaurant and expects English to be the first language.
I googled Popusas near me (I live in the Cape) and this was th first restaurant that came up, and Thank goodness it did. I ordered A popusas plate (pork and chicken), steak Taco, and a chicken Tamal. Everything was so delicious. Authentic and they offered generous amounts of sides that you must have with popusas. I will definitely eat here again and will be telling all my friends to visit soon.
