Spice Hut Indian Cuisine. - Canmore

The food was not good. I heard they had new staff so thought of giving it another chance but worst experience. Doesn't taste like Indian food.

Ordered delivery to our hotel, they didn’t include any utensils to eat with. Guess they expect you to eat sauce, rice and chicken with your bare hands. Called just minutes after the driver left to see if he could come back and the woman said “we should have asked for forks” I don’t know about you, but it’s automatically assumed that you’re supposed to get silverware with your food when it’s necessary to be able to eat it. ZERO common sense whatsoever.Also, none of the dishes include any rice, which is standard in any other Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to. They also lie about “free delivery” and then charge a $5 fee (which does not go to the driver.

Been ordering takeout here for years sometimes weekly, for the price point it was good but prices just jumped by like 50%. It’s insane… It’s definitely not worth the price they’re charging now.

We really enjoyed the Mango Curry and the Butter chicken dish . We also had garlic nann bread and rice. Large portions, enough to take home .We had been to Spice Hut in Cranbrook Bc, and found they had a location in Canmore. We will be back.
