Bidrage med feedbackWe enjoyed the atmosphere, and the service was good. The bagels were good but different from what we are used to. It definitely isn’t a NY bagel. The Apple fritter was the best that I’ve ever had. The coffee was good.
Bagels are great, also the lemon drops, the Moccha and the atmosphere. Loved it.
Wheelchair accessible both into the store and in the washrooms. There is apparently a rooftop patio that I didn't go to or look at, but unless there's an elevator I don't think it would be wheelchair accessible.Food was delicious! Many options available for all meals. I got The Egel with sausage and it was lovely, and not greasy at all which was a pleasant surprise! I got their lemon/mint juice as a beverage and it was also very good, not sour and the mint was very strong but I could still taste the lemon. I also got a day-old cinnamon bun, and it was very cinnamon-y, was not dry at all, and the icing was rich and clearly made in-store!My friend got the Egel as well, but also The Battery juice, which was full of various vegetable juices but was not too bitter, as well as a cookie which they are saving for later.Washrooms were very clean and had speakers in the ceiling that played the same music as the rest of the place, so it wasn't hauntingly quiet while you do your thing like in so many other places lol. The soap smelled nice but was a little strong for me, though I don't use scented products much so it could have just been me (my friend adored it).
Bagels were mediocre at best. Views were great on the rooftop. Maybe that’s where their lettuce is from. ?We had the original bagel sandwich and the mountaineer. Bagels were so thin, equivalent to the “bagel thins” you’d find in most grocery stores. In fact those grocery store bagels have more taste than these. Could barely taste the cheddar or everything bagels that we got. Also the lettuce and tomato looked old and just unappealing. You’d think for $13 per sandwich you’d get quality but that’s what happens when you come to a touristy area and expect decent food for expensive prices.
Everytime we come to Canmore, we try to come here either for a quick bite or to pick up some bagels to bring back home for friends and family. Rocky Mountain has great thin bagels that aren’t overly filling and bloaty like regular store bought ones. I ordered the salmon bagel (the Laux) and it was the perfect size for me, with the perfect amount of light cream cheese and thin salmon. I also really enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee that came with cinnamon I highly recommend getting it! It’s great to see that they’re also selling various types of local/Canadian products like the Thunder Bay hot sauce!Be prepared to wait in a long line to get in and make your order especially on weekends or during holiday periods. In the summer, there’s a great upstairs patio to enjoy your bagel and basque in the mountain sunlight.
