Terrible service! I asked about a gyroscope and the owner said, "What are they nationality? that is a Lebanese restaurant”. I should've taken this as a note, but I've ordered rob leaves anyway. they were not terrible, but they were the worst. I ever had. I asked the owner/wake what the white sauce was and he said it was yogurt. I asked what a yogurt it was cuz it tasted strange for me. he said someone was making it fresh. I asked if he was sure it wasn't spoiled. he was insulted, stormed into the kitchen and brought a container yogurt and said: “We make it fresh, it is my family old recipe”. I felt like crying. I couldn't enjoy my meal at all. it was one of my worst experiences ever. Now I know why I lived here in the 15 years, this restaurant has never lost more than it is. someone with such terrible customer service should not have a restaurant and deal with customers. Guess they are too cheap to rent a waiter who knows how to treat customers.
Byblos is in a great location in the inner city of cancun. many windows to let in the sunlight. your menu is also available in Spanish and English, which was a bonus for our English guest at us. service very friendly staff. we came in and immediately. they closed the windows and turned to us the A/C. the personal is also very curious and respectful. food that eat is excellent and fast food preparation. great portions. if they have never tried Lebanese food before they have a plate with a lot of different options. they offer domestic chips with each table. look the outside looks good. chalk weine over the door. Inside is a little dated and could use a facelift, but it is a great restaurant.
Friends invited me out for lunch, asking if I liked Arab food. Byblos turned out to be Lebanese cuisine with a local flair. The houe wine was amazing, Appetizers were good though my fiend claims he makes a better Babaganush. I had a delicious lentil...soup with homemade bread. My main course was fish, which I found bland and over cooked. My date had a Lebanese style kabob so tender and juicy it melted in your mouth. The price was reasonable and the owner made us feel at home. If we go back, next time I’m getting the Kabob.
