Bidrage med feedbackLiterally the best place I have been to in a while. The staff, the food, and everything was great! It was my daughter’s birthday and they sung happy birthday to her and made her so happy! To everyone working on 11/22, thank you!! We will be back.
Solid fast food type sushi for Chinatown. Temper you expectation if you want high end sushi, this is a sushi on a conveyor belt. For that, the salmon sushi is very good. Lots of options. Ramen and other rice dishes also served. Solid 4 stars. Friendly staff and clean place.
I know Kura Revolving Sushi originates from Japan and is a huge franchise in Japan and expanding to other parts of the world including this Washington DC location.I have to say, I came to this Kura Washington location first before trying the Kura in Osaka Japan. Surprisingly, I thought the food being served here in the Washington DC location was better than the Japan location, which speaks volume.I thought the sushi being made here in DC was fresh and meaty and tasty. The miso soup was pippin' hot and the fried calamari with shishito peppers was a nice touch, which isn't available in the Japan location.I do like the Kura concept of encouraging diners to push the empty plates into a slot in each individual spot and that's how they count the of plates and if you eat a certain number, you can play some games to win prizes, so that was cool. Most of the time, people have to wait and lineup for a table but since I was by myself, there was no wait, you have individual spots to eat and enjoy a quick meal. They have everything at your eating spot from green matcha tea, hot water facet, ginger, soy sauce, paper towel and the ONLY thing you need to ask is wasabi.I highly recommend anyone to come try this unique sushi revolving dining experience especially for those who have never been to Japan, this Kura experience will be a great introductory start to get a glimpse of Japanese dinning culture. Food pricing is reasonable with sushi plates starting at $3.48 USD and more unique sushi raw fish at higher prices, you do have to watch what you order so you don't over order and pay for food you may not necessary need. So, you have to pay attention or be disciplined.I will definitely come back! This is a great spot for snack, lunch, dinner and then head to a bar nearby especially this Kura place is located in Chinatown where there are many dining options.
It is not the best sushi I've ever had, but it's fast sushi, and some menu items are actually quite good, mostly the seasoned nigiri. Everything is handled by a touch screen system. The delivery times on food orders are much longer than they claim, so plan your appetite accordingly. When you do need a server, be warned that service is weak. It'll take a while, and they'll forget things, e.g. they'll bring you sake with no cup. There is also no Wasabi. If you ask for it, it will be brought, and it is needed. See above about service. Ask early. Overall, I was hungry for sushi and a fast lunch, and this worked to scratch that itch, but I would not recommend it as a destination.
Clean, easy to understand, great variety of tasty sushi, other plates such as fruits, desserts, and sides, extra bigger plates able to be ordered to table, and very nice tea! We loved this, will definitely try more at the Pittsburgh location!
