Celona Wine - Calumet-Norvelt

Excellent food and atmosphere, but the portions are small.

This place is a popular bar but unfortunately the food is not good. We ordered a paella and fideos and both were extremely overcooked and burned (Pic attached). We reported it and both waiters and manager informed that's normal when preparing these dishes. We disagree as my wife is a professional chef with specialization in Mediterranean gastronomy obtained in Spain. They offered to prepare a new one and the result was similar so we left the place disappointed. If you are looking for a place to have drinks the atmosphere is nice and they have a good wine selection at good prices however do not go there expecting high quality Spanish food.

Came for some after work drinks with a friend after we both had a rough day. Even with it being slammed for a Tuesday the staff were incredible. Our bartender Taylor had the best recommendations, made sure to double check with us if we had any allergies and was generally just very kind and we didn’t feel rushed to leave as you can feel in some DC bars.We will definitely be coming back.

Visiting from out of town and this spot blew me away. Amazing selection of tapas made with authentic spanish flavors! Would come back in a heart beat.

Incredible food. Incredible vibes. Incredible staff. Out of town-er visiting family, and we visited this wine bar. The staff was so kind and attentive, and the food was incredible. Definitely will be returning
