Bidrage med feedbackVery nice and quiet restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean. The waiters are lovely and speak English with no trouble. The menu is well balanced, even from a nutritional point of view (quite a rarity in a restaurant) and even for vegetarians like myself. Prices are fair, so I can definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the neighborhood.
The nicest service on Madeira, kind and helpful, always smiling. Amazing place with breathtaking view. Very good prices. Average taste of food, expect Madeira-wise standard.
We stumbled across O Fio while exploring the west of Madeira, and visiting as many miradouroa as we could. We followed a sign from the main road down through a village the signs got more and more rusty as we drove down, and started to wonder what we would find. However, we pulled up in the car park and, as well as stunning views along the coast, we were very taken with the cafe, its beautiful herb garden (which is used in their dishes), and the delicious smell of the home cooked food. We decided we 'd change our plans (which had been to eat near our hotel in Calheta) and asked for a table. We were served by a member of staff who was inviting, friendly and helpful. I ordered the scabbard fish in wine and garlic (a house speciality) and my wife had an omelette. Both were delicious with a lovely fresh salad and chips (I opted for chips instead of potatoes with the fish). There was a small but tempting set of home baked desserts. The huge wedge of lemon cake was beautifully moist with a lemon drizzle soaked into the sponge and the dense, warm, chocolate cake was a real delight. One of our favourite meals of our holiday, and we 'd very much recommend it to anyone in the area. It 's a busy little place, and for good reason. The only thing to be aware of is that they don 't take cards or at least not on the day we visited. We had cash with us though, so that wasn 't a problem.
The restaurant is a bit far away, but located directly on a miradouro. You can enjoy the amazing sea views while enjoying some typical Portuguese cuisine. The staff is very friendly and friendly. Enjoy a small walk to the lighthouse after your meal. The location makes this place really special.
We hadn’t planned going here, just found it when we were enjoying the beautiful coastal views of Madeira. This restaurant is so pretty, the garden is wonderful, the views so stunning. And then those ladies who were taking care of us and serving very tasty food. It is one of very few places where the staff really show the love for their guests. We had such a wonderful time there. It really made out day, and was one of our absolute highlights of Madeira. Thanks to all the staff. You are amazing…
