The Bear and Kilt - Calgary

First time here for lunch today. Super friendly service and delicious food. Had the southern fried chicken off their November menu special. 3 pieces of fried chicken covered in spices. Wasn't too salty or oily which was good. It did come out a bit dark though. Came with corn fritter and I substituted a salad with dressing on the side instead of fries. Much healthy option. Overall a good experience would come back again. I made a reservation but didn't need it cuz it wasn't as busy as I would have thought but it was a Tuesday though.

First time eating here this weekend. It's basically your standard pub food, but with good prices and HUGE portions.I had their french onion soup and my friend had their steak sandwich. All so delicious, my only complaint is that the server was slow, she was the only server at the moment.

Not the cleanest place but I like underground bars with junk on the walls. Food's good, I've never not finished a meal here. Been a couple times and usually sit at the bar, so it's easy to get service.

Love this Place!. I've been going here for years! Service is always excellent (even when they get swamped they somehow manage to make it work) I've never had a bad food experience and the Beer is always excellent (obviously have a good tap system) I love stopping here before Flames Games, and eating a meal and drinking a pint or three with friends!Oh and as a side note the people who go here always seem to be great people!

I have been frequenting this local pub for years and will keep coming back. I have never had a bad meal here! The staff is always friendly and works hard to ensure your satisfaction. If you are looking for a great, affordable meal (and drinks) on Stephen Avenue, with a laid-back atmosphere, the Bear Kilt is the place for you!
